We're proud to offer various scholarships at the Girls' School, Senior School level for students in Years 7-8. Our commitment is to enable exceptional students from diverse backgrounds to build their future potential with an excellent education. 

For Extraordinary Girls

We are determined to provide scholarship opportunities to as many young people as possible. We invite applications from girls who embody excellence in academics, performing arts, sports, or a combination of these and who uphold the values of Saint Kentigern with a positive attitude. Our scholarship recipients are those who envision their future and the contribution they can make to our school and the wider community.

Eligibility & Duration

Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or hold New Zealand residency to be considered for a scholarship. Our scholarships commence from Year 7 and extend over two years, contingent upon the student's commitment and positive attitude towards school life.

This prestigious award places a primary focus on a student's performance in the scholarship examinations.

All-Round Scholarship 

Presented to a girl entering Year 7 who demonstrates excellence in academics, sports, and/or cultural fields.

Alumni Scholarship

 This scholarship is a unique opportunity for students with a family connection to former Saint Kentigern students.

Music Scholarship

Awarded to a girl entering Year 7 after an audition with the Head of Music and an interview with the Principal of the Girls' School.

Performing Arts Scholarship

Celebrating excellence in the performing arts, awarded to a girl entering Year 7. 

Scholarship to Saint Kentigern College

For girls who aspire to continue their secondary education at Saint Kentigern College in Year 9.

Sport Scholarship

Recognises excellence in one or more sporting fields with representation at regional or national levels.

Key Girls’ School Scholarship Dates for 2026

Scholarship applications open Friday, 1 November 2024.
Applications close Thursday, 6 March 2025.
Scholarship examinations Wednesday, 12 March 2025.
After examination day, results will be reviewed by our Heads of Departments and the Scholarship Panel. Shortlisted candidates are invited to attend an interview with the Scholarship Panel in terms two and three.
All applicants, successful or unsuccessful will be notified of the outcome via email.
